Urgent Notice! Server Down - 209.222.97.66 - UPDATE!
Some customers are unable to access their websites due to a technical issue on one of the servers- 209.222.97.66, at our Miami, Florida data center. We’re aware of the issue and are working on it urgently.
------------UPDATE!
We noticed that the disk installed on the server keeps disconnecting from the server hence the downtime. The server administrators are still working to resolve it and get the server back online ASAP.
------------UPDATE2
To ensure system stability and fixing the issue of disk disconnecting from the system intermittently, we are replacing the affected disk and performing a fresh installation of the operating system. Once the new disk is installed and the OS is reconfigured, we will connect the old disk via USB to facilitate the recovery and transfer of any important data.
------------UPDATE3
We have launched our Disaster Recovery Plan restoring most recent server backup from our off-site backup destination.
While we work on recovering data from the old drive, you may access an old version of your website the website or the website may not be accessible at all until the restore is complete.
--------------UPDATE4
UPDATE: For the past 24 hours, we have been battling with the failed drive, trying all possible to save data from it. We are very disappointed to inform you that we still haven't had any success getting data from the drive. The system doesn't detect the drive even after attaching externally or to a different server due to hardware failure. Currently, from our Disaster Recovery Plan, we are restoring data from our off-site backup location, but the process is taking time due to the size of the data and accounts being restored.
The bad news is that the backup data sent to our off-site backup location couldn't be completed for some of the websites, resulting in the loss of some recent data/updates. If your website is accessible now, kindly note that it is the only backup available from our complimentary backup service. Unfortunately, we won't be able to restore any updates/changes for the website due to the failure to get data from the failed drive. If your website is not accessible yet, kindly note that the account restore is still in progress. We appreciate your patience while we work to restore your service.
All users using Codeguard backup service can be able to get their most recent backup restored. You can also send us a recent local backup for restoration if available.
--------------UPDATE5
Unfortunately, we have some bad news. We still haven't been able to restore some affected accounts. Our Disaster Recovery plan seems to have failed for some websites. To our deepest regret, the way forward is to recreate these affected accounts, which means starting from scratch for the affected accounts. Details have been communicated to affected clients via email.
